We are now looking for a Security Specialist for an exciting assignment.

Assignment Description

The GFS unit – Physical Security at the client is responsible for planning, implementation, operation, and further development of the operational measures needed to maintain robust personal security within the authority.

The assignment involves working closely with GFS staff and, if necessary, collaborating with GSS on issues that affect strategic goals or requirements. You will participate in operational security work, support the implementation of personal security routines, conduct risk assessments related to location and situation, and ensure that measures such as alarms, access control systems, and other physical security equipment function according to established requirements. The work also includes documentation, record-keeping, follow-up of measures, and reporting back to GFS.

The assignment includes contacts with the field operations, contractors, and internal support functions. You are expected to contribute to a safe and effective handling of personal security-related incidents and the development of GFS's operational methods.

The tasks include, among others:

Operational support within personal security

  • Conduct operational risk assessments related to location, activity, or emerging situations.
  • Provide support to the operations before and during work in risk environments, including advice and management of acute security incidents.
  • Participate in incident follow-ups and contribute to analysis and proposals for measures.

Implementation and operation of personal security measures

  • Ensure that technical personal security solutions such as personal alarms and alarm functions are operational, work as intended, and meet the established requirements.
  • Support the introduction of new solutions or the development of existing systems in collaboration with contractors and internal functions.
  • Conduct site visits and checks in the operations to verify that security requirements and routines are followed.

Procedures, instructions, and support to the operations

  • Specify and implement the requirements established by developing, updating, and supporting the use of operational routines and instructions.
  • Contribute to training efforts and practical support in issues related to reception, conflict management, and handling threatening situations.
  • Support the operations during planning.

Documentation, reporting, and administration

  • Document and record actions taken, risk assessments, incidents, and follow-ups according to the client's requirements.
  • Report status, deviations, and needs for changes to GFS and the requirements setters.
  • Ensure correct and traceable documentation according to internal processes.

Collaboration and coordination

  • Collaborate with the organization on issues related to personal security, especially when operational measures affect strategic requirements or long-term goals.
  • Participate in internal meetings, collaboration forums, and coordinate actions with the operations and external actors.

Mandatory requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in the last 15 years working with security protection issues
  • At least 5 years of experience in the last 8 years of operational work within personal security, physical security, or related security areas
  • At least 3 years of experience in operational risk assessments related to security or personal security, as well as implementation of personal security solutions
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing or following up on security incidents
  • Experience in collaboration with operations, contractors, or external actors in security issues within the framework of SUA agreements
  • At least 5 years of documented experience working in public service
  • Documented experience of having worked as a manager in security protection, alternatively held the position of security manager or security protection manager
  • Fluent Swedish in both spoken and written form

Desirable

  • At least 4 years of experience working in the energy sector in Sweden
  • At least 4 years of work experience with tasks under the Security Protection Act (2018:585)
